This vent valve is designed to allow vapors to be released if necessary. The vent valve is designed to prevent the release of fuel in the event of a rollover and also has an overpressure function where when sealed, the valve opens between 150-200 mbar. The valve functions by letting air flow through an annular gap in the open state, thus ensuring ventilation of the tank. When exposed to liquid, the PVCF ball is pressed by the buoyancy in the sealing seat and thus closes the valve. If the value is tilted more than 90 degrees, a stainless steel ball is moved from its previous position and presses another ball in the sealing seat, thus closing the valve. If the tank pressure rises when the valve is closed, due increasing ambient temperature for example, the valve opens itself between 150-200 mbar, thus releasing the the overpressure. This valve must be installed in the upright position in the car to function correctly.
