The Wildwood AERO6 Big Brake Front Brake Kit (Race), configured for dedicated road racing on all 1995-1999 BMW E36/M3 models, contains AERO6R/ST six piston calipers which feature a forged aluminum body with a Type III Mil-Spec in a medium gray color with a hard anodized finish. This hard anodized finish ensures superior wear resistance in the piston bores, and provides high resistance to abrasion and corrosion. This latest model of the AERO6R/ST calipers features a wider-than-standard body that accepts 20mm thick pads, increasing overall volume and extending service life. Furthermore, Thermlock® pistons reduce heat transfer from the pads, increasing fade resistance and extending service life even more by decreasing temperatures in the caliper body, fluid, and seals. Internal damper springs, controlled retraction, and high-temperature piston seals create consistent pedal height. Caliper piston volumes are matched for full compatibility with the OE master cylinder output and ABS controls. The kit is also easily configured with manual brake conversions to balance bar pedals using appropriately sized master cylinders. Spec37 alloy GT competition series 14.00” diameter directional vane rotors are dynamically mounted to the OE hubs with weight-saving forged aluminum hats. As with the calipers, the hats are hard anodized for superior wear resistance and improved service life. Unsprung and rotating weight are minimized while providing high cooling efficiency and rugged durability with thermal stability in sustained high heat competition.
