AEM Performance Electronics offers several sensors, plug and pin connector kits and accessories for vehicles that require additional outputs and/or upgraded hardware over existing equipment. Available sensors include boost/back-pressure sensors, exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors, UEGO replacement sensors, inlet air temp sensors (IAT), K-Type sensors and more. All sensors come with a mating connector and pins for ease of installation. Compatible with AEM Products:

AEM’s Air Inlet Temperature Sensor Kits (AIT) senses the air temperature on the inlet side of the engine. Features:

AEM’s Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor is designed to be used with their ECU management systems, and allow the driver to keep an eye on temperature levels. It has an operating range of -40 C to 1000 C. The sensor is a universal application for cars 2008 and newer, older models may not be supported or may have difficulty installing and operating. All sensors come with a three-wire mating connector with 12″ leads for ease of installation. Comes with Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor, connector, and bung.

AEM High Volume fuel rails feature a 1/2-inch fuel bore to support fuel flow for applications up to 1,000 horsepower. This large bore also dampens backpressure pulses created by larger injectors and works perfectly with stock injector sizes. An additional 1/8th NPT port is included to accommodate a nitrous set up or fuel pressure gauge. A custom fuel line fitting is included for the factory fuel line, and in most cases the ends of each rail are pre tapped to accept -6 AN or 9/16”x18 fittings for users who want to use custom fuel lines. AEM’s Universal Core & Accessory Wiring Harnesses simplify the installation of an Infinity ECU on any 4-, 6- or 8-cylinder application with an Infinity-supported crank/cam timing configuration.

The Universal Core Harness combines injector sub harnesses with ignition timing sub harnesses for every type of MAG and Hall Effect timing configuration, allowing racers to get an Infinity-tuned racecar wired quickly and accurately. Idle motor sub harnesses for Ford and GM are available for easy integration onto Ford & Chevy Small Blocks and Big Blocks. An ignition adapter sub harness for AEM’s Single Channel Coil Driver is available for triggering an inductive coil directly or a single-channel capacitive discharge ignition (CDI). Ignition sub harnesses for the AEM EPM and other popular ignition systems are also available.

COMPREHENSIVE CORE HARNESS DESIGN

AEM’s Universal Core V8 Wiring engine harness (PN 30-3809) is terminated with Infinity Series 5 ECU connectors, power/ground leads and an OEM power distribution block with 5 relays and 7 fuses. Special care was taken to build redundancy into the power distribution system to increase overall reliability.

High-Performance DTM-Style connectors terminate the leads for dual UEGO wideband air/fuel ratio sensors, wheel speed sensors, AEMnet (AEM’s CAN bus), dual 8-pin auxiliary ports, cam & crank, idle, injectors and coils sub harnesses. High-Performance DTM-Style connectors and pins are included for the auxiliary ports. Flying leads are included for permanent and switched power, manifold pressure (MAP), oil pressure, fuel pressure, air temperature, coolant temperature, and throttle position.

The wiring is covered in an automotive-grade loom for enhanced longevity and the power/ground leads are heavy-duty serrated versions to ensure the best connection. A firewall grommet is included for a clean pass-through. All wires and connectors are labeled for ease of installation.

INJECTOR SUB HARNESSES

Injector adapter harnesses are available for Ford and GM engine injector locations and cylinder numbering. They connect to the Universal V8 Core Harness via a High-Performance DTM-Style connector and include the popular/common Bosch EV1-style connectors for the fuel injectors. These harnesses include labels for ease of installation and are covered in an automotive-grade loom for longevity.

CAM/CRANK TIMING SIGNAL HARNESSES

AEM has made the task of configuring and wiring cam/crank signals as easy as the snap of a High Performance DTM-Style connection. Timing sub harnesses are available for:

High quality shielded wiring is used to virtually eliminate EMI and the flying leads for crank position, cam position, power, and grounds are labeled for ease of installation.

AEM offers 1/8″ NPT DTM-Style Connector(PN 30-2013), 1/8″ NPT (PN 30-2012) and 3/8″ NPT (PN 30-2011) water/oil temperature sensor kit.

The AeroCatch Xtreme series is the latest evolution of the famous hood pins designed for the much harsher conditions of the off-road and rally racing. With its steel strike pins, AeroCatch Xtreme has been designed to withstand the conditions found in even the most severe raid events. Having listened to and from working with customers involved in off-road racing, AeroCatch engineers gained essential feedback that created this ruggedized version suitable for their tougher requirements. AeroCatch hood pins are used across a variety of motorsport applications to secure hoods/bonnets, trunks/boots and tailgates. AeroCatch are tested in an UK independent testing house to ensure the maximum safety levels are achieved. The high strength plastic material they are made from can be painted allowing full customization and optional discretion, making them suitable for street, race and rally. The 120 Series offers modern aerodynamic styling combined with light weight, high strength construction, making it a popular choice across a variety of motorsport applications. The 120-4100 version has a black finish with a steel pin and is mounted from above with a backing plate. The latches are lockable with included keys. The kit contains:

AEM’s 400LPH AN Fittings High Flow, High-Pressure Fuel Pump is designed for high performance naturally aspirated and forced induction EFI vehicles. It can be installed externally or in-tank using optional hardware that is sold separately (see Images tab and part numbers, below). It utilizes the industry standard “044 Style” envelope and -10 AN female inlet and -6 AN female outlet connections for easy installation on new applications and for quick replacement of existing competitor fuel pumps. The 50-1005 fuel pump delivers incredible performance and value. AEM’s 400LPH High Flow, High-Pressure Fuel Pump is capable of supporting over 1,200 HP normally aspirated and a whopping 860 HP at 30 psi boost!* It flows 400LPH (100 gph) at 40 PSI, 340LPH (90 gph) at 73 PSI, and 270LPH (71 gph) at 120 PSI. Complete flow curves from 35 to 120 PSI and current draw vs. fuel pressure charts are available in the Specs tab. The AEM 400LPH AN Fittings High Flow Fuel Pump is rated for use with ethanol-blended fuels, (E85/E90) and all types of gasoline, but pump life will be diminished if used with 100% ethanol fuels. The inlet thread is a -10 AN female ORB (O-ring port fitting) and the discharge is a female -6 AN ORB (O-ring port fitting). A male -6 to -8 AN discharge fitting with integral high-pressure check valve, terminal nuts, terminal boots and installation instructions are included. Optional accessories that are sold separately include a -10 ORB fitting inlet pre-filter (for use with in-tank installations), and both -8 and -6 discharge adapters without integral check valves. Accessory fittings are hard anodized. Features:

*Power rating is given using gasoline and assuming a base fuel pressure of 43 PSI, 13.5v at the pump, 6.2 lbs/gal with a BSFC of 0.65. Boost fuel pressure is assumed to be the base pressure of 43 PSI + boost pressure. Flow capability for horsepower support is ultimately dependent on fuel hose diameter, and system electrical voltage and amperage capabilities.
