Extra lightweight, reclined and narrow seat. Essentially a version of the B6 without the backframe. Available in carbon/GRP or black GRP.
Description
The B6.5 seat weighs only 2.1kg and has been made to allow fitment into some of the narrowest vehicles around. It is derived from the B6 and features the same interior seating surface without the B6’s backframe, allowing for standard road racing driving position. The belt holes have been optimized to enable the use of a Hans device and allow a full racing harness to be used (5 or 6 point harnesses are recommended on an inclined seat). The seat is supplied with a removable Dinamica ® suede covered headrest pad as standard and can also be supplied with matching back and cushion panels at extra cost. The B6.5 is a thin flexible shell. To install this seat, it needs support with a framework or from bulkheads and roll bars. Tillett suggests using their special fittings to attach to your fixing points. At least one fixing point must be at headrest level under the pad and two high up under the arms. Tillett also suggests creating two mounting points on the side at chest level.
