For 997 Turbos that were originally equipped with the OEM 380mm rotors and are now running our direct replacement iron rotors.

Too much abuse can lead to a worn down rotor or worse, an unsalvageable one. Girodisc offers replacement rings for their 2-piece systems, available in 350 or 380mm depending on your application.

Front wear can differ from rear wear, and habits and practices of driving can either lengthen or shorten the life of your components. Replace both rings at the same time to ensure future damage isn’t focused on one hub/knuckle, and to improve drivability/feel while adding safety and comfort to peace of mind.

The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc with the addition of their provided caliper spacers. Their rotor is slightly larger than the OEM rotor at 350mm versus 340mm providing greater braking force and cooling capacity. The Girodisc front rotors are approx 21.0 lbs vs. 24.4 lbs for the stock units. This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.

The central hat section of their rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from their own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The rotor utilizes a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.

The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 10 high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads.

Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.

The GMG Racing Seat Bases utilize the factory seat mounting provisions on your vehicle’s floor and provide a low-profile, flat surface, for mounting your aftermarket racing seat. These bases are compatible with the majority of FIA and SFI-approved seat manufacturers, including the FIA-homologated Tillett B6 Screamer, B6 XL Screamer and B7 seats. With limited space in the driver and passenger compartment, fitting aftermarket seats can be a difficult task due to the center console and protruding door panel. The range in which seats can be lowered has been greatly improved by eliminating the need for an eye-bolt and clasp for the submarine straps. Each seat base kit is sold individually for one seat. The kit includes the base, sliders, associated hardware, and seat mounting brackets.
