Description

APR logo

The OEM intake system includes resonators in the hose connecting the air box to the throttle body designed to reduce supercharger whine. The APR intake system in Stage 1 form replaces the factory air box and filter, and will deliver roughly 11 AWHP over stock. The Stage 2 back pipe when combined with the Stage 1 Air box will increase power further to around 15 AWHP and will slightly increase intake supercharger whine.

The APR Catback Exhaust System personalizes your vehicle’s looks, sound and performance. Beautifully hand-crafted T304-stainless-steel components adorn the system with stunning TIG-welding throughout. Our straight-through brushed-finished mufflers smooth the exhaust note to a deep growl, without adding restrictions, while our Helmholtz resonator reduces unwanted frequencies. Strong high-quality bracketry and OEM-style clamps hold the system steadily in place, making the install or removal a snap, and fitment simple, yet precise. A cast 3″ to quad 2.5″ rear splitter creates an ultra-smooth transition, steadily feeding exhaust gasses out of the system, while looking tidy from under the rear bumper. Our cast valve housings enable the vehicle to be fitted with the factory electronic valve actuators, retaining OEM valve operation. Finally, removable 4″ polished slash-cut exhaust tips finish the system, adding a classy motorsport-inspired touch to the rear of the vehicle.

APR OE Replacement Advanced Street Pads are a direct upgrade for your factory brake. This pad material will remain fade-free to operating temperatures that far exceed typical OE pads. The material has a high friction co-efficient but is engineered to deliver torque curves that will extract the most from street-legal tires without overwhelming them and causing premature wheel lockup. The fairly low thermal conductivity of this friction material slows the rate of heat transfer to the brake calipers, pressure seals, and brake fluid. This pad compound delivers the type of pedal feel and fade resistance that is normally associated with entry-level race pads but it also delivers very good cold response and low disc wear, which a race pad would not when used on a streetcar. They pair perfectly with the APR Direct Replacement Brake Discs and provide a no-compromise solution for spirited daily driving.

The APR Carbon Fiber Intake System is an attractive, high-performance upgrade designed to increase performance by letting the engine breathe more freely. Performance is optimized by improving mass airflow through the system, while also adequately filtering the incoming air. The system provides a direct airflow path through the system to the filter, and removes the rubber inlet snorkel, which has been known to collapse under load, and devastate power deliver. Expect increased horsepower, torque, sharper throttle response, enhanced fuel economy, enhanced engine sound, lower intake air temperature (IAT) and a more attractive engine bay!

More Airflow
Ram air induction is accomplished by maintaining the oem air inlet opening at the front of the leading hood edge which is the highest pressure area of airflow across the entire vehicle. Placement of the air filter as close to this high pressure zone as possible results in overcoming some of the airflow restriction created by even the highest flow air filters available.

This optional muffler can be used with our 718 982 2.0T / 2.5T exhaust system to quiet the exhaust note. Simply swap out our catback’s straightpipe and put this in its place. V-bands and precision clamps make removal and mounting a snap. The system is created from T304 stainless steel with a brushed finish and TIG welding throughout. The muffler is a straight through sound absorption design.

The APR Turbo Inlet Pipe is an easy-to-install bolt-on upgrade that eliminates a restriction before the turbocharger. Unlike fabricated units on the market today, ours is cast from aluminum, allowing for an organically shaped inlet that transitions gradually over a large distance. Such a design promotes better flow rather than abruptly reducing at the turbocharger’s inlet like other units. It’s larger than stock throughout, removes a large internal restriction at the PCV inlet, and outflows the factory unit allowing the turbocharger to operate more efficiently. We fully assemble each unit with a billet securing arm, billet PCV bung and new o-ring. The inlet and outlet are CNC-machined to control tolerances and ensure snug and secure connections. This upgrade is recommended at all stages utilizing an IHI IS12, IS20 or IS38 turbocharger!
